How to Receive Paymnets Using Unique QR Codes (GCash, Maya, BDO Pay etc.)

To receive payments using unique QR codes, the account must be integrated with XendIt, and the payment type used will have to be configured as an "E-Payment" payment type.

In this example we will show how to punch a sample transaction with a sample payment method using a unique QR code to receive payments safe, quick, and easy. The process is no different from the usual placing of orders, except that there will be a QR code for your customer to scan using his mobile device and paying through his/her preferred application.

1. We will start placing the order of this Cafe Latte (Large) worth PHP 120.00. To start the process, go to Step 2.

2. Click "PLACE ORDER".

3. Then to bill this transaction and to display "PAYMENT", please click "BILL".

4. Click "PAYMENT".

5. Then select E-Payment, or whichever is configured to be your E-Payment payment type.

Alert: In this example, it is "E-Payment", but your configuration may vary. Many other payment types can be configured as an e-payment that can take advantage of this technology.

This feature minimizes the use the outdated, static, and unsafe QR codes usually used by merchants. Using unique QR codes, you can stay in control of all of your transactions.

6. We will use "GCash" for example. This is just to properly tag/label the payment. Don't worry, your customer is not limited to just this option.

7. Since this is an E-Payment, please select "Exact".

8. Click "Generate QR" to start the process of receiving of payment using a unique QR code.

Tip: For some accounts, you may use the button "Generate and Print QR". This will display a QR code on-screen, and the POS will also print a QR code on a thermal paper. This will allow the customer to use that as well.

9. This will be displayed on your POS. You may rotate or show this to your customer.

Customers are required to use their camera app, and not their e-wallet application (ex: GCASH, Maya). This will not work using any e-wallet application.

10. Once your customer has paid, the system will immediately update the QR code from "SCAN TO PAY", to "PAID". You will also hear a audio chime to indicate successful payment has been made.

Tip: All QR codes are unique, therefore this cannot be reused by any other customer. This makes the system safe and allows the restaurant to remain in control of all e-payment transactions.

11. To close this window, click anywhere outside of the window.

12. You will also notice a banner appear. This shows that the payment has been received together with its corresponding reference number.

13. Click this if you want to close the banner notification.

You have successfully received an E-PAYMENT using a unique QR code powered by Mosaic POS.
