To create a custom report, users will need to maximize the Report Builder module of Resto iQ Analytics.
Report Builder of Resto iQ Analytics is its most complex and versatile report generation tool. This allows the user to create any report for as long as the data is available and updated. Despite the complexity, it is actually very similar to Pivot Tables on Microsoft Excel and other platforms. Sections
Similar to other modules, it will retain the filters of Resto iQ; namely: Account, Transaction, and Location Filters.
Pivot Tables
To help identify the functionalities, here are some functionalities of the table. The first two (not highlighted/marked in the photo) are controls to add labels and totals. The second two (light blue) are for number and conditional formating, then the last two are for saving and refreshing the dataset.
Editing Pivot Tables
Click the "Show fieldlist" to start editing pivot tables. Upon clicking, this window should appear, and look familiar with Pivot Tables of Microsoft Excel.
- A - Field List
Shows all available fields in the Pivot Table. Users may select data from here then drag and drop items onto either B, C, D, or E. - B - Filters
Adding items here will place them in the filters section for the table the user is creating. - C - Columns
Similar with "Rows" (D), adding items here will include this field as a column of the table. - D - Rows
Similar with "Columns" (C), adding items here will include this field as a row of the table. - E - Values
An essential field is for inputting values. Fields added to this will display the corresponding values based on the row and column the user has selected. Without this, table will only have rows and columns, but no values.
If the user wishes to save the layout, simply click "Save Layout" or the floppy disk icon which are shown below.
