How to Add a Product to Resto iQ Inventory

To create a product, users must go to Menu Items > My Products > Add Product.

Creating a New Product is quick and easy using Resto iQ Inventory. In this quick reference guide, all users will be guided on how to create a new product. This is available to all users/organizations with a license to Resto iQ Inventory.

 

How to Access

Upon logging-in to Resto iQ, this can be accessed by going to Menu Items > My products > Add product (orange button).

 

 

 

Required Fields

The items highlighted in red are required fields. It is advisable to gather this information before proceeding with the creation.

  1. Active & Track Stock*

    Active - mark this item as Active on the Mosaic POS and Resto iQ. Active items will be displayed automatically and must be disabled if the user wishes the item to be inactive from transactions on the POS.

    Track Stock - instruct Resto iQ to include the product in its tracking (including its recipe composition/s if any).



  2. Product Name*

    The product name entered will be displayed in Resto iQ and the Mosaic POS Front End. Additionally, if GrabFood and Foodpanda integrations are active, the name entered will also be used on these third-party delivery platforms. At a minimum, the name entered will serve as the reference across all sections of Resto iQ.



  3. Product Barcode (Optional)

    Should your operations require Resto iQ to read barcodes, this is where it can be setup. Leave this blank if it does not apply.



  4. Alias*

    The Alias is the altername relative to the Product Name.



  5. Sell Price and Exclude from Charges (Optional)

    The sell price is the price reflected in the POS and/or inside Resto iQ. Enable "exclude from charges" if you do not wish for configured taxes and charges to be applied to its computation.



  6. Product Type (Optional)

    This dropdown menu will reveal all configured product types in Resto iQ. For example, this can be "Food", "Beverage", or "Others".



  7. Product Category and Sub-category*

    The Product Category encompasses various sub-categories that group products together. For reference, in the Mosaic POS Back Office, the Product Category is similarly called, whereas the product sub-category is referred to as "Product Groups".



  8. Product Description (Optional)

    Users may input descriptions about their products to improve recall or organization of their products. This is optional.

    Users must leave this blank to instruct Resto iQ to mark it available in all outlets.
