How to Solve Internet connection issue

Basic Troubleshooting: Internet Connection Issue
1. Check Physical Connections
Ensure all LAN cables are properly connected
Check modem/router power (lights should be ON and stable)
2. Restart Devices
Turn off:
Modem
Router (e.g., TP-Link)
POS / device
Wait 1–2 minutes, then turn them back on
3. Reconnect to Wi-Fi
Disconnect and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network
Make sure you are connected to the correct network (SSID)
4. Test Internet Access
Open a browser and try visiting a website
If no access, try another device to confirm if the issue is network-wide
5. Check Signal Strength
Move closer to the router
Avoid obstacles or interference
6. Check IP Address
Ensure device is getting a valid IP (not 169.x.x.x)
Restart connection if needed
7. Disable/Enable Network
Turn Wi-Fi OFF then ON
Or toggle Airplane Mode
8. Check Router Settings
Ensure internet/WAN is connected
Reboot router if needed
9. Contact Internet Provider
If all devices have no internet, the issue may be with your ISP
Report outage or request line checking
10. Escalate (if POS-related)

 

If internet is working but POS is not syncing:
Perform Force Sync
Validate Data
Restart POS
