To add new units of measure, users must go to Inventory > My Inventory > Units > New Unit
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add units in RestoIQ Inventory. By following these steps, users can easily create these units and manage their inventory more efficiently. In this example we will create "Trays" and "Pieces" to simulate UOMs in preparation for a conversion from how eggs are ordered vs how eggs are used in the restaurant.
1. Navigate to https://app.restoiq.com/inventory/my-inventory/units
2. Click "New Unit".
3. Click the "Name" field and type "Tray".
4. Click the "Alias" field and type "Tray".
5. Click "Create"
6. Click "New Unit".
7. Click the "Name" field and type "Pieces"
8. Click the "Alias" field and type "Pcs".
9. Click "Create"
You have successfully created two units of measure "Trays" and "Pieces". These may now be recalled/used in various modules of Resto iQ.
